Member Meetings

american-red-crossThe Atlanta Radio Club hosts a monthly meeting on the first Thursday of the month at the American Red Cross in Atlanta which normally starts at 7:30pm and runs for about two hours. Additionally, there is a pre-meeting dinner that begins at 6:00pm at CowtippersMembers can bring items for sale, trade or to be given away for free. You’ll announce your items during the meeting then do the trades and such after the meeting.

Meeting topics vary, however examples of previous meeting topics include the following:

  • Bob Allphin, K4UUE, discussed DXpeditioning at the May 2016 member meeting.
  • Ken Reid, KG4USN, discussed the 2011 Joplin, Missouri tornado as well as the National Hurricane Center at the May 2016 member meeting.
  • Bill Perkins, KB4KFT, discussed LXpeditioning at the February 2016 meeting.
  • John Davis, WB4QDX, and Robin Cutshaw, AA4RC, discussed D-STAR at the September 2015 member meeting.
